Born in Toronto, Canada and emigrated to the United States, with my family, at the age of 8, where we settled in Wausau, Wisconsin.
During the Vietnam War era, I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in May of 1969 and earned the designated rate of Hospital Corpsman. Upon completion of “C” school in Oakland, California he earned the rating of X-Ray Technician. Served at Great Lakes Naval Training Center, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and finished my 10 year career aboard the USS Okinawa LPH3 with the opportunity of deploying twice.
Following my career with the U.S. Navy I entered the School for Salvation Army Officer’s Training in Rancho Palos Verde and was commissioned as a Lieutenant with The Salvation Army in 1981. As a Salvation Army minister I served in Eugene, OR; Caldwell, ID; Pendleton, OR; Phoenix, AZ; and finished my twelve year career with The Salvation Army in El Paso, TX as the County Coordinator.
After leaving The Salvation Army I worked for the American Red Cross for 10 years. Those 10 years with the American Red Cross were served in the communities of El Paso, Albany, OR; Abilene and Dallas, TX; and San Jose California. Also, served as Financial Development Director and Executive Director.
Am currently serving as the Business Coordinator with the Modesto Salvation Army. Have been in this position for four years.
I am married with 3 sons and 1 daughter. One son lives in Phoenix and works for a healthcare company and one son is a Salvation Army officer in Renton, WA., with the other son and daughter attending the School For Salvation Army Officers in Rancho Palos Verdes.
I was converted overseas while serving in the Navy when God whispered to my heart that He loves me. My heart was broken and mended and I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour. I believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit and believe that the Scriptures are the inspired Word of God.
